The Pathways, Inc. Therapeutic Foster Care Program is a community-based and family-centered program approved by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. It serves youth in the custody of their local Department of Social Services who have serious emotional, social, and behavioral issues or developmental disabilities in need of a therapeutic out-of-home placement. Resource Parents (certified foster parents) trained in mental health and developmental topics provide foster care to youths. Therapeutic Foster Care staff provide services to youths, siblings, and families in order to achieve permanency goals. This service is available in the Southern Tier of New York State.
