Pay: $20 - $21.50 per hour! (depending on related experience)

Nature of Work:

Process Purchase Orders and Payment Vouchers for payment and timely disbursement.  Heavy computer technology user.

  • Enter invoices in Sage Intacct, ensuring proper department and expense classification. 
  • Review data entry of Purchase Orders and Payment Vouchers within Sage Intacct; ensuring proper department and expense classification. Verify amounts, dates, and attachments are correct and follow up on any discrepancies. 
  • Generate timely payments via checks/EFT, match with appropriate invoices/remittances and disburse.
  • Maintain organized and accurate vendor files by filing all payments with supporting documentation.
  • Strong communication skills in order to interact with peers and vendors regarding price differences, invoice discrepancies, and outstanding issues.
  • Assist with month end closing procedures, as assigned and needed, including preparing journal entries, maintain working schedules, and reconciliations. 
  • Generate reports for yearend and annual audit. In addition, be available for questions from auditors during all audits. 
  • Maintain and update accounts payable manuals. 
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality of all applicable information.
  • Informs Accounting Supervisor/Controller of any potential problems or concerns. 
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Accounting Supervisor/Controller/Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications:

  • 2-Year Accounting degree or equivalent work experience in bookkeeping or related field.
