Nature of Work:
Under the direction of the Program Director or their Designee, the Residence Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of the Community Residence program, to include but not be limited to, assuming primary responsibility for the scheduling, training, supervision, and evaluation of direct care staff, monitoring the physical plant, assisting in hiring of program staff, assisting in intake and discharge of program youth, and monitoring the program to ensure compliance with Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations as well as Agency Vision, Mission, Philosophy and Values. The Residence Manager works collaboratively with the Case Coordinator and Program Nurse to ensure that each youth participating in the community residence program is receiving all services needed.
Qualifications:
- The incumbent of this position must meet the qualifications for a Qualified Mental Health Staff as stated in Part 593 of the OMH regulations. The minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field is strongly preferred, though relevant equivalency of experience may be considered
- The incumbent must also have experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances and their families. Supervisory experience is required; at least two years preferred. Requires a valid driver’s license that meets insurability guidelines to operate Agency owned vehicles.
- Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care, Day Care, and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse/maltreatment of children and Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
