On September 17, 2014, Pathways, Inc. received a $10,000 grant from The Rite Aid Foundation in recognition of the positive and meaningful difference Pathways is making in the lives of children in our local communities. District Manager, Mike Detota, presented the check to Pathways, Inc. President & CEO, Dr. Edward J. Lukomski at the Rite Aid Store in Corning. The grant is part of The Rite Aid Foundation’s new initiative, KidCents, a program that allows Rite Aid customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar and donate their change to a general fund that supports kid-focused charities. In addition, Rite Aid’s wellness+ members can log in to their online wellness+ account at KidCents.com to elect to automatically round up all of their purchases and select one approved charity to receive their donations through KidCents.
Pathways, Inc. was selected as an inaugural charity and is currently the only charity in this local district participating in the program. “We’re very pleased to have been selected for this program and we hope many people in our communities will support local children and consider selecting Pathways, Inc. as their charity of choice when they shop at Rite Aid,” said Lukomski. “We’re glad to present this check to Pathways to help with the good work they’re doing for children,” added Detota.
